Mosaic Mural Project

60th Anniversary

Design and facilitation by Rachel Rodi and Guy Fuerte

2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the Oakland Fukuoka Sister City Association (OFSCA). To commemorate the occasion the organization, in collaboration with Fukuoka representatives, hopes to create and install a public mosaic mural in Oakland. The planned mosaic mural is a community project with a message of Compassion, Peace, and Community. Its design is meant to compliment the location, speak symbolically to the message, and provide an element of interest for the public to enjoy, and be inspired to celebrate community relationships both in Oakland and between Oakland and our friends across the globe.

Donations are appreciated at qualifying amounts on our website!
