This is the 8th year that Oakland has been invited to participate. Six Oakland Junior Ambassadors (3 boys and 3 girls) will be selected from Oakland Public Schools.

To be eligible in 2008, the student must be born between September 1,1996 and August 31, 1997.

Application deadline for 2008 was December 31,2007.
